Earth Hour – March 24, 2018

Come Walk With Us

Earth Hour is a global phenomenon, with communities and cities around the world shutting of lights and electricity for one hour in support of action on climate change.

This year, we are adding a new dimension to the Parkdale and Roncesvalles Walk: being Climate Ready. We want to draw attention to the need to organize communities to be ready for extreme weather events and power failures.

By turning off the power for an hour, we are demonstrating the need to be climate ready, and showing how our community can come together in a crisis to help one another.

Please join us March 24th at 8:30 pm with your candles:

  • Parkdale Walk: start outside the library at Queen and Cowan
  • Roncesvalles Walk: start at the Peace Garden at Dundas and Roncesvalles

Both walks meet and finish at the south west corner of Roncesvalles and Queen.
